The Lovely Professional University (LPU) in Jaladhar, India was founded in 2005 and is recognized nationally and internationally. It¡¯s a member of the AACSB Business Education Alliance and the 足球即时比分 Association of Universities created under the auspices of UNESCO.
LPU values Innovative pedagogy for participative and experiential learning with focus on research, innovation and entrepreneurship. They provide a state-of-the-art infrastructure, a global LPU community and industry collaborations.
LPU offers under- and postgraduate as well as doctoral studies in 68 study fields such as economy, media, STEM and law.
LPU-ISM Cooperation
ISM and LPU have developed a cooperation which allows ISM graduates and other graduates to apply for a PhD program.
The entire application process is supervised by ISM. In a two-stage application process, ISM first pre-selects suitable applicants, while LPU then makes the final decision on the acceptance of the doctoral topic. The supervision of the work is carried out jointly by both partners, each of which also provides at least one supervisor. The maximum number of candidates is five to eight per year. The start date of the individual doctoral programs is flexible.
PhD Doctor of Philosophy
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is a research-based degree with a minimum duration of three years full-time and five years part-time.
All doctoral students are required to undertake the 60 credit Postgraduate Certificate in Research Methodology (30 ECTS) at LPU, as well as an ISM PhD Colloquium. Each module has a duration of one week and requires the completion of an assignment.
The certificate is normally completed within the first year of the full-time doctorate program or within two years part-time.
Admission Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- Excellence in academic qualifications, i.e. minimum GPA: 2.0 (German grading system)
- Proof of English language proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 600 (pbt)/ 90-95 (ibt)
- A research proposal with doctoral potential which matches LPU's and ISM research expertise
- Supervisory capacity in the proposed research area

Your application will firstly be reviewed by ISM. If successful, an interview with a LPU member of staff will be arranged. Thereafter, the official application to LPU will be completed. Starting time is flexible.?
